Admit and Learn from your Mistakes

It is important when any subordinate, boss show you a mistake, the ability to admit a mistake plays important role in your life. It is equally important to learn from previous mistakes. Don't do same mistakes again. Any body in your organization, family can show you mistake. Person may be high or low level. Don't look at his/her level. Just try to learn from it. This will really improve your efficiency and effectiveness.

I'll tell you small story about this context. In Akbar court one-day one person came with different types of horses. All horses are really very good. The person wants to sale horses to Akbar. Akbar also impressed by quality of horses. So he paid up demanded price for selected horses to that Horse-seller. Akbar also wants some more good quality horses but this time horse-seller demanded advance sum of Rs. 5 lakhs. Akbar paid up the advance amount. Even he doesn’t have any information about that person.
After few days passed Akbar asked Birbal to prepare a list of fools in his kingdom. So Birbal prepared a list and submitted it to Akbar. In list Akbar name was in the first position. So Akbar shouted at Birbal. Birbal Replied. "Some days ago you gave Rs. 5 lakhs to horse seller without any guarantee that he would complete your horse order. That's why I put your name. Akbar then asked what if the horse seller brings me the horses? Birbal replied, "Then I will replace your name with horse-seller.

Akbar realized he had made a mistake in advancing the money. In this way king accepted his mistake.
